In the linked gantdaily article, Coach "C" is quoted as saying "Personally, it’s big for me, because I’ve not beaten Saint
Mary’s in maybe 10 years
." We'd guess he wasn't aware precisely how accurate that was. The last time the Lady Bison
beat Saint Marys was in fact January 16, 2007, ten years to the day. They were the Lady Bisons then and were playing
in the d9 League and in that league they played Saint Marys twice each season and the win on that evening
(56-46 - article,pictures) was a follow-up to a win against the Lady Dutch in December '06 (50-47- article,pictures).

In the interim there have been some pretty close games; last year a two-point loss and the previous year a 1-pointer.
The bulk of the losses during that ten-year drought were between 4 and 12 point affairs though we'd all like to
forget the 75-34 shellacking on February 5, 2011 during the height of the Kayla Hoohuli era.

Also, the Lady Bison's record of 8 & 5 after thirteen games is their best since January 20, 2012 (9-4)
in a season that included their first ever Mountain League
win (Central, 46-37, 12/21/11) and ended at 15- 8 overall and 10-5 League.

All in all, it's good to be back in the win column.
