2021 Season Recap and Picnic ~
Back to Home -  '21 Pictures  -  21 Articles
Typically our Bison sports teams finish out their seasons with a banquet at the school; Softball's
is normally in early to mid-June depending on how long the season lasts. Of course, nothing
"typical" or "normal" has been happening for a long time and this year's banquet took the
form of a picnic at the Curwensville Dam on August 11th. So everything was totally out of
the ordinary but lots better than last year when there was no celebration of any kind . . .
. . . because there was no season. At all.

And even though the team had lost an entire year, what a season the girls had! A 15-6 record -
the best since 2006 - which included an 8 game win streak from May 11 thru June 1st
and a "first-ever" win over Philipsburg to open the season on March 30th.
( Previously 0-19 against the Lady Mounties ! )
A best ever 8-5 record (3rd place) in Mountain League, first-ever winning record.
And another d9 Championship to go with the one from 2019 and the d5/8/9 Crown, to boot.

There was only one graduating senior - we'll miss you, Morgan - so there will be a whole
bunch of girls coming back next year. Among those coming back are the newest crop of
seniors; ten of them - many of whom were the nucleus of the 2016 (4th)
& 2017 (2nd) 11-12 All-Stars State Little League Tournament teams. These girls . . .

This picture is pretty much redundant as
it shows the same gang as the one above
but it does such a good job of showing
off A.B.'s awesome pigtails.

Anyway, can you believe that they're
all Seniors already?

OK, enough dwelling on the past,
it's back to the present and
on to the future.

and here's how they did in 2021 ~
